Apparently my new motherboard doesn't care to play nice with my video card. After a fresh format, I struggled to get each monitor assigned to a particular output (DVI or VGA) so that I have a large extended desktop. (BTW, it's easier to plug the 2nd one in after windows is all set up.) Now comes the battle with my GF4 and its refresh rates. I run RefreshForce to fix the problem and it prompts me that Default Monitor is active. Interesting, as I have installed drivers for both. In device manager it lists 4 monitors: 2 default, a CM641 (my 17) and a CM772 (my 19). I uninstall the defaults and try again. I apply the correct refresh rates to each and reboot and then try to play SOF2... locked @ 60hz. I go back to device manager and the default monitors are back. They refuse to stay uninstalled. I've tried uninistalling the 41.09 drivers, trying the 43.45's now... no dice. Uninstalled all the monitors, reboot, all 4 are back. Did one at a time... when I install one it's happy, but when the 2nd one is installed, the 2 default monitors come back. Any ideas why? I don't really care about the default monitors clogging up my device manager as much as I care about being locked @ 60Hz all the time.
