Dual Moniter gaming question

Quick question about running dual moniters.

I play a MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot, and with the newest expansion it allows for running in Windowed mode. This works out great for me, as I can run it windowed at 800x600 res and be able to surf while I do boring crafting.

I've got a 19" moniter as my main at 1152x864x75hz and an older 15" running 800x600. If I have the game windowed in the 19" and surf in the smaller moniter it works fine. If I put the game in the second moniter and surf in the 19" the whole computer slows to a crawl. Is there no hardware acceleration in the second moniter because of drivers? I've got Nview but I don't use it, I just use the windows properties to set up the 2 moniters.

Any help is appreciated!

What videocard do you have? I run dual-monitor setup, but using 2 video cards, and my second monitor won't run anything that requires 3D or lots of 2D action. Quicktime movies crawl on the second card, but fly on the first.

If you're running 1 videocard with dualhead support, you might want to use the drivers that came with it instead of the Windows display properties settings.

depends on your system. more powerful your video card/system the less problems. if game can run in window, then your pretty safe. i've tried simcity 4 witht v in second monitor.

Hey thanks for the responses. Haven't had a chance to check the board for a while so sorry it took so long for a response!

Ok, I run a Ti4200 128MB card. My system specs are in the link at the bottom of the post. The game has no trouble running at all as long as I keep it in the main moniter. When I switch to the second moniter the system comes to a crawl almost like there is no hardware 3d support.

I'll check into the Nview options to see if there is anything that can be adjusted etc and get back to you.

Ok I took a look in the device settings in the advanced tab of the Nvidia drivers and I can't find anything to change to make any difference 🙁
