Dual Modding a joystick?

I'm looking for instructions to dual mod a TE stick to work on both the 360 and PS3. I've heard that starting with a Xbox360 TE stick is the way to go. I have a pre-assembled cthulhu board (with the 20 screw terminals) but I'm reading that a chimp board is the way to go. The cthulhu alone does not have auto console detect correct?

nah the way i've seen the 360 TE modded to PS3 is with a cthulhu and then you select which console it loads up on based on like what way the analog stick switch is set when the console is powered on.

it's something like that.

look over on the SRK tech forums you will find all you need.

Let me know how that goes. I'm actually interested in getting mine modded for the wii. I want to give TvC a go 🙂

You might as well buy a converter,, TRUST ME... THAT is the way to go..

no its not, not at all. those can cause lag big time. even if its a few frames, it can make a huge difference.

and i know he's trying to get somewhat competitive w/ssf4 so that is definitely not a good option for him.

I've got a chimp board in my 360 TE stick and it detects automatically which system it is, but if you've got a cthulu board already you should look into getting a switch or I think there was a way where you can hold down some buttons when you plug it into a ps3.
