Dual memory question

Hi, this is a stupid question, but I can't seem to find one single review out of the 5 I've read that clearly explains how Dual memory works.

I just want to know that if I put two (2) 256 MB of RAM in and set it as Dual memory, how much am I using? 256 MB or 512 MB?

you will have 512mb
it kinda works like RAID
the data block it split into 2 parts and then is put on each stick of ram
so you will get twice the performance

yeah think of it as raid0 for ram
it will theoretically double your bandwidth
