Dual mobo: Soyo SY-6KD Dual Slot-1 Moderkort (LX chipset)
Op-sys: Windows 2000 Proffesional

How to get this combo going?

ACPI is being disabled with pressing F5 and chosing Standard PC at the start of the Wink2 installation.
Then the installation works perfectly but only with one CPU enabled ofcourse, unless ACPI is disabled the comp wont boot.
I've heard rumors though that your supposed to get dual going in Win2k without ACPI with some sort of tweak?

Any thoughts?

For dual processor systems that do not support ACPI (ACPI was just coming at the time of the LX motherboards, so it's no surprise that yours does not support it), you must select the MPS Multiproc PC HAL.

Why don't you try it.

I'm telling you, that's the HAL you need to select for APM Dual processors.
