Dual Link monitors - Do they utilize SLI?

Does anyone here who uses a dual link monitor (such as the 30" Cinema Display) get benefits from SLI video cards?

I'm curious because with the arrival of the Dell 3007fpw this december I'd like to know whether or not these displays take advantage of SLI.

People have had trouble with sli and the apple 30", but that thing was designed to run on a mac. Most likely the 3007fpw will be compatible.
