Dual Link DVI + Dual Monitors?

Oroo, he was asking about non 30" monitors. Still, I do not believe it is possible without some sort of custom made part like that matrox one. However, I you could use a DVI-VGA adapter and then use that matrox item pretty much for sure.

oh, well that matrox thing costs as much as a video card that can do it legit, its for special applications only. and its only trickery anyways from what remember, it just outputs superwide resolution and that thing splits that. its easier to buy another video card

I really wish there was a splitter or something...I'd use it on a laptop which only has one dual-link dvi. Does the dual-link send 2 separate dvi signals, or does it just have more bandwidth?

Look at page 11 of the DVI 1.0 Specifications. DVI ports are meant to be used on a per EDID set basis (That is, one display device per port) and the second link is only there for displays that use more than 165MHz pixel clock.
