Dual LCD + what video card(s)?

I have sitting here, two 17" Hitachi LCDs that support either VGA or DVI. Currently, I have an old Leadtek Geforce 3 Ti200 that I don't believe supports running these two LCDs.

I do a lot of programming such that being able to place debug windows on the other LCD would be really nice. Ocassionally, I play a game (counterstrike or whatever), but I don't care to use the second LCD for that.

So what video card do I get? I'm sure any video card that will run both that supports 3d (counterstrike, quake, ut, etc) sufficiently will be good enough for me. I don't need the fastest or anything...just something that accomplishes these two things.

Any recommendations? Also, since each monitor supports 1280x1024, would the combined desktop be 1280x1024 or would this double? Guess it wouldn't really help me if the max res was 1280x1024..would need or want twice this at least.

Thanks
D

And BTW, this Geforce 3 Ti200 in front of me has a VGA and DVI output on the back, however, I don't see anyway to enable both in the display properties. So I'm assuming that this card CAN'T run dual LCD's (one dvi and one vga)

I think I got most of it figured out. For now, since I really don't want to spend more than about $200 it looks like I can get a "Gainward Ultra/750-8X XP, Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4800" which has DVI and VGA output.

They include a DVI to VGA adapter, but in my case it's safe to say that I could just use one LCD on the VGA line and the other using the DVI correct?

Also, what resolution will I be able to run when both LCDs are being used? Hopefully something twice as wide as 1280

Thanks

the ti200 don't support nview?

I think it should. But the max resolution with dual screen will be 2560x1024

the ti200 doesn't appear to support nview. I assume that if it had, when I installed the latest nvidia detonator drivers (the current ones), I would have some nview option in the display properties (and I don't). If anybody knows if the ti200 does support dual monitors, I'm all ears!

But thanks very much for your reply...that dual width resolution is going to be perfect!
