dual layer rewriteble dvd media

Has anyone found dual layer rewriteable media anywhere? Plus or Minus. doesn't matter to me.

the specs were approved a while ago and I can't find anything at all.

were they abandoned when hd-dvd and bluray was introduced?

Last i heard, it wasn't going to happen.

So that shows how little attention i've paid to the dual layer DVD world...

From what you're saying, they approved the spec, but maybe no manufacturers care to bother making them due to difficulty of manufacturing & price they'd have to charge that they no not many would be interested in?

I personally tried out a few different dual layer discs way back when $10/disc was a good deal, & due to my burner + those discs disagreeing, i wasted a lotta money, & have never ever considered another dual layer disc again, since pricing & originally reliability of burns just hasn't been ideal.

Best of luck to you though...maybe someone here will know.

I bought a 10pack at Staples (here in canada) for $15 back in january.

I've gone to various computer stores and they have the DL 8.5gb disks as well.

I'm getting the feeling that noone (other than n7) understands that you want REWRITEABLE DUAL LAYER media. (DVD+/-RW DL)
I've never seen any, and probably never will as they require capable burners that didn't come to fruition either.
