Greetings ladies and gentlemen,

long time reader, first time poster (actually, i might have another account with another e-mail address from years back, but I forgot what it was)...

we all (or most) of us can spot a good deal with CDRs... there's that rule of thumb where if it exceeds some amount per disc (5 cents, for example), it's considered a rip off.

i am in the market for dual layer recordable dvd media... i haven't followed up on this at all (though I do have a DL +/- R capable dvd writer) and now i seek the experts on this forum that are more knowledgeable than myself...

currently, what would be considered a pretty good deal on dual layer recordable DVD media per disc? I am not too worried about longevity at the moment, though it would be nice in the long run for backing up purposes. if you have any nice sources (links online, etc), that would be helpful.

cheers!

Either way you cut it DL media is expensive so I go by brand I use memorex havent had a bad burn with it. I say go by brand and reviews because at that price you don't want to be burning coasters.

cheers for your advice! although, in my entire experience in burning (both CDR and DVDR), i've never burned a coaster and I've used numerous brands (both cheap and brand name). back when 4x was the max speed and only 650mb CDRs were available. maybe i just have been that lucky! :)

thanks again mate!
