dual layer dvd drives

Hey guys, I need a good dual layer burner. Was looking at the nec nd3550a so far and was wondering which one is a good one? Also is lightscribe worth it or is it really crappy? thanks

btw.....I will be backing up movies, writting to mini-dvd's for my camcorder and doing system backups. what about lightscribe? thanks for the info so far

NEC and Plextor are the most recomended (and Plextor is the better of the two, but pricier). Plextor also has top-notch technical support if ever you need it (they replace their drives for free).

Lightscribe is a "fluff" feature that nobody needs... it's also pricey (you need special disks).

If you're on a budget, go with NEC... if you want top of the line, go with Plextor.
