Dual Layer DVD Burners?

Anybody think dual-layer DVD burners are worth getting yet? None of the stores I've been to have any media in stock.
 
I am getting my Sony DWU-18A, which is is essentially Lite-On 832S drive under different brand name.

I will flash it with the Lite-On SOHW-832S_VS0Ab FlashRom, and the drive will be capable of writing DVD+RW DL at 2.4X.
That is very nice !! And the drive costs around $75 only. Think of that.

But the problem is that DL disks are very costly at the moment, not talking about the RW DLs.
