I'm trying to remember why you can't run dual K6 CPUs....seems like it is because of lack of chipset support for anything other than Pentiums. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,

No, it's because K6 doesn't have ANY kind of dual processor design to start with.

I thought the K6's did support dual configurations... the only problem being that
no chipsets were ever made to support it. I've been told that they work in HX
boards but I don't believe that.

Not quite right - AMD and Cyrix had a stab at "OpenPIC" multi processor standard in K5 and 6x86 respectively, but since noone bothered make a chipset for it, it got removed kin K6 and 6x86MX.regards, Peter
