Guys help me.

I am looking to have 2 i7 processors in a single build. Will Asus Z8NA-D6C work? Does anybody know of any other motherboard? Is this going to be cheaper than xeon based machine.

AFAIK the only dual socket boards for 1366 only support the 5500 northbridge and 5520. (supporting the 5500-5600 Xeon CPU's).

The Asus MB doesn't support the consumer Core i7 CPU's but does support the Xeon server versions.

Consumer-model (i.e. not Xeon) Intel processors are specifically designed so they can't be used in multi-socket systems. They are missing the interprocessor communication ability and even if they had it, it would be disabled by Intel so business couldn't go out and buy a hundred Core processors at half the price point of the same Xeon.

Hell, even some Xeons can't do multi-sockets IIRC.
