Dual Head out question

OK, I came here looking for advice on what Video Card to buy for a Dual Head display setup, but, after reading some posts here, I have a different question..
I currently have a GF Ti 4400 card in one of my systems, it has both VGA & digital outputs on it. (as well as tv out)
I was under the impression that I could use one or the other, but after reading here, am I correct in thinking that I can plug in two monitors into this card & extend my desktop to both?

Please let me know if this is the case.

Thanks

I believe you are correct, the GF4 supports dual head while the GF2/3 cards do not(even when equipped with both connectors)

Sweet.

Thanks alot

Guess I'm headed out to buy a dvi -> vga adapter at lunch today..

I'll give it a try & post back with the results if anyone else has any interest.

sounds pretty good. . .problem is for what i want, i need to spend an arm and a leg for dual output on the quadro 4. . .ohh well. . .

Would that be displaying 2 different video images (such as TV Tuner card and DVD) at the same time on different monitors?

If so, then yes, my MSI GF4 Ti4200 does 🙂

If that's not what you mean, then i don't know 🙂😉

Confused

Cautious here, many dual head capable graphics chips can only support one video overlay at any given time. Some are even restricted further, and can display the overlay on the primary head only. I don't know about the GF4 in that regard though.
