Dual-Hard Drive Laptop

Are there any dual-hard drive laptops? I know Alienware has a model with this, but their prices are extreme...

Thanks.

I don't think dual harddrives for laptops is a very smart idea... there wil be overheating issues since you have a lot of heat in a contained area. Just get 1 harddrive with more space.

Your advice you give me isn't all that great either... you told me to get an AMD x2 which is 350 and then an Abit mobo for $202, you're trying to make me broke

If I needed one hard drive I wouldn't have asked the question... anyways, can we keep the squabbling out of the thread?

Most IBM Thnkpads have an optional drive that can be substituted for another such as the CD drive.

I had a Gateway Solo 9300 that had an optional HDD adapter that could replace the LS-120 drive. Currently, I use a second HDD in my new HP dv1000 via an external Firewire connection.

All work. Heat is not really an issue becuase these are designed for the task.

OMG! lol no one can force you to buy anything, if your not happy then dude your getting a Dell.

As mentioned above Dell and IBM have models where the CD/DVD drive can be swapped for a second HD. Of course you can also attach a second drive to a USB port but that will be slower.

For Dell, check their site to find models with this feature, then look for discount coupons in the Hot Deals forum or at GottaDeal.
