Dual firewire enclosure compatibility?

There are 2 different versions to that dual firewire bay enclosure. The one from geeks only supports 120GB. There are other ones floating around with a differnet Oxford *920*(i think that's the script #) controller that supports the 48bit LBA. I'll look in my bookmarks to find it.

Edit: Here is the one that supports 48bit LBA. here.

So is that the only dual drive enclosure that supports >120GB hdds? I just want something that will support my WD 2000JB Special Ed. drives in its own enclosure. (And the geeks one does look much nicer 🙂

I'm sorry. But how can the Geeks/superpc version look much nicer if they are the exact same enclosure? The only differences are the Oxford 9xx controllers supported interenally. The one I linked is the new controller revision. If you only insist on esthetics, then my job is done here.

I think we're looking at two totally different enclosures... the Geeks/Superpc enclosure appears to be made of aluminum, has a single 80mm cooling fan, and runs for $45 to $65. The one made by Ratoc at http://shop.store.yahoo.com/firewireshop/firremcaskit2.html has an aesthetic presence comprable to that of a heavy duty server from yesteryear. It's also priced at a rather hefty $300.

Has anyone stumbled upon any other large capacity dual drive firewire enclosures? (low price points, low noise, and spifftastic aesthetic qualities are definite pluses)
