Dual fans or Orb?

I ordered the Athlon 950 motherboard combo from Tiger direct. Just starting to put my system together I was wondering if the dual fan heat sink that attaches to the Athlon is sufficient enough? Should I get something better? There are so many Orb's, Golden Orb, Blue Orb, Chrome Orb, etc. What is the difference and which is best? How do they compare between a standard $8.50 dual heatsink fan? What are the pros and cons?

Sufficient, hte super orb can be. THe chrome-orb, barely.

But in all honesty, you can do muhc better than any of the orbs. The fact remains that the $11 taisol CEK733092(the AMD retail heatsink) outperforms all of the socket-a orbs.

the golden orb runs at an increadably fast rpm and tends to keep the processors cool enough to overclock even!!... if you get the chance go duel fans or passive cooling is always the best

the gorb was adequate partially do to a good clip. The heatsink itself was really nothing special.

ON my p3, i can't overclock as high wtih a gorb as I can with other heatsinks.

Take Mike's advice...get an alpha PAL6035 or a taisol.

Much, much better performance.
