Dual DVI not showing full resolution.

No, they're both using dual cable.

as matter of fact, I put them in Radeon 6850 at home and it showed same symptoms.
My co-worker's geforce gt 440 shows two full 2560x1600 screens.. hmmmmmmm

My 6850 and 7750 both have two DVI connections, but only one of the two ports is dual-link.

Dunno why. It's a common thing with AMD cards. Even my old Geforce 7900GS had dual link DVI on both ports.

You'll need an active Displayport adapter, probably.

Maximum Analog Resolution 2048 x 1536
Maximum Digital Resolution 2560 x 1600

You are maxing out the card. Personally, I wouldn't consider running more than a single 1080p dispaly with that card.

Why do you need an adapter when the 2 ports are DVI-D ?

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes.

One port is DVI-D (probably DVI-I, actually) Single Link, and one is Dual Link.

Single Link won't feed a higher res than 1920x1080. OP would need to run the second 2560x1600 panel off of another output that support the higher res.

Presumably there's a DP port or something on the card that will do the trick.

That's per DVI port. It should handle two 2560x1440 displays. IMO

Picture as well as nVidia website spec page shows both ports are Dual Link.

I'm confused.

I'd be more concerned with what EVGA has to say. They don't have to implement every spec that nVidia's chip offers. They have a forum, but I couldn't find anything about this in a couple minutes of skimming. I guess it's not a common setup yet.

Sorry, I saw that you have a 6850 at home and thought that's what you had at work. My bad.

After looking at the specs on the GF610, I'm also confused. It's supposed to do that. Could be a bum card. The 6850 not doing it doesn't surprise me.

Still could be a cable - have you swapped cables back and forth? You're not trying to run one of the panels at 120Hz, are you?

Couple of questions for ya...

Can the you get the monitor that displays 1920x1080 to display 1920x1200?

Have you tried swapping cables?

How long are the cables?

What refresh rate are you using?

Thanks.

1. 1920x1080 is max.
2. Not yet, I just bought 6 dell 27" and 2 dual set monitors with gt610 are having problem, one set with gt440 is working perfectly. I'm 99% sure it's not the cable
3. default dell cable length.. I'm guessing 5,6 ft
4. not sure. Haven't changed any setting on video card.

returned eVga ones and bought Zotac GT 630. Works like a charm.

I guess I know which brand I'm buying from now on.

I seem to remember this from the last AMD generation or the one before it, only one DVI port was dual link. It might have been my 6970.
