dual display with via Diff Cards

Ok I've got a Geforce2 and I'm building a new system and I plan to add a GeForce3 as my primary card.. notice I said add, not replace. Is it possible to reliable run a geforce3 agp and geforce2 pci in a system. I'd mainly use both when doing mutli-media type stuff and use the geforce3 for gaming, but what I wanna know is would using both cards degrade performance. For ex. working with 3d graphics. Would the geforce3 be crippled by having to work with the geforce2, or if I display the hardcore stuff, the graphix itself, on the geforce3 and the light stuff, tool menus and such, on the geforce2 help ..?

You can run a dual display system without any loss in proformance. The only thing I can think of that would slow the GF3 down would be if you where to span a 3D application accross both monitors. I have no Idea why any one would want to do this, but it is possible. In this instance the GF3 would probly run at the speed of the GF2 as to keep them in sync. Bottom line, no you won't loose any speed for having two video cars.

Yup, my thoughts also. Thats why I'd keep the core 3d stuff to the g3 screen and keep the tools and sush on the g2 screen. Just wanted to make sure the systen wouldn't care about what was on what screen and cripple the g3 simply because the g2 was in the system.
