Dual Display in W2k on laptop?

I have a laptop and a monitor. Is it possible in W2K to do the "extend desktop" feature so I can display 2 different screens? I know this works in XP but not sure how to do in for Win 2000.

Yes, it is possible, but it depends on the video chip. If you laptop has ATi or nVidia video, the latest drivers *should* allow you to extend the desktop.

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 in my lab and extend its laptop display to an adjacent CRT.
