Dual display causes green screen and freezes

My computer broke down a week ago and I decided to take out working parts and put them in an older computer. My Sapphire HD4850 is a few years old now (I bought it not too long after it came out) and when only using one monitor the system runs perfectly fine and I can change resolution and everything.
When I plug in my Viewsonic VA1912wb alongside my Dell S2209W and attempt to change the resolutions(both of them work fine when not on dual display) the screens will turn green for a bit then return and freeze up.
I am running an AMD Athlon II X2 240
Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H
G.Skill 2GB of unganged DDR2 Ram
Nothing is OC'd

I've updated my CCC and tried alternating the ports/cables of the monitors to my graphics card.

Again, everything works fine until I try to change the resolution of either monitors.

You could try using SurroundView. Enable the onboard VGA and plug one of the monitors to the onboard.

Otherwise, you might have to do a clean driver sweep or force clockspeeds on your card.

Thanks for the advice, I downloaded Rivatuner and forced the clockspeed lower and now it's working fine.
