hmm..i was just wondering how dual ddr works and if there is a special module u have to buy (like ive seen ram modules designed for dual ddr) or you can just stick two ddr ram modules in or something

naw, the "optimised for dual-channel" is marketing crap. Its up to mobo, whether its gonna utilise the dual ch. or not. To simply put how it works: 1 module is being read from, the other is being written onto, thus saving time.

so if i get a mobo that supports dual ddr i can just go ahead n get 2 ddr ram modules and it should work fine?

Yes, just make sure they're the same size and type.
