Dual CRT on Radeon8500LE

Apparently I'll have to find a DVI-I to VGA adapter. I will be using one monitor for games and the other for pretty much everything else. If I want to extend desktop, is playing games possible on the extended desktop? At that point I don't need control of the primary or anything, just wondering if it's possible, or if I'll have to constantly check or uncheck the 'extend' option, which is kind of a pain imo. I know it may be possible to just make a hotkey to swap the primary and secondary so the gaming monitor becomes the primary. but they will be running at different resolutions. How is the quality of the secondary port on the Radeon? Would it be as good as getting a decent pci card?
