They may have a slight distortion when one turns on when the other is already on.

i'm currently using 2 997df's about 2-3 inches apart (just for a week) and theres absolutely no operation problems

Hmm...I have mine about 2-3" apart, turned one on, then the other. They were working fine for about 15 mins but then they picture on both began to distort, then they both powered off. Then my 2nd monitor powered back on and I thought my 1st monitor burnt out or something, but it seems to be fine now.

We have about a dozen dual-monitor machines and every one has the monitors right against each other - no problems.

You can stack em on top of each other... just make sure their set that way in the display properties 😉
