Thank you mfenn, heymrdj and Mark R very much for the information, and as well thanks to everyone else who couldn't help but still viewed the thread. I think I don't need further assistance for now. I'll post the results when the computer is finished. For your info, I won't be building it myself to avoid taking the risk of doing something wrong and ruining expensive hardware. I'll only do a few small things, so I can't really take pictures of the progress.

Glad to help, let us know what the results are! :)

The computer is up and running. I ran a benchmark test with the following result:

It ran for 455 seconds on my old computer (q6700, 4-core 2,67 GHz).
My new computer, 2× opteron 6272 finished it in 82 seconds.

455/82 = 5,55 times faster than my old computer

My CPUs didn't turboboost to 2,4 GHz during the tests and I don't know why. They should be able to. I'm going to see if I can find out more about that.

You'll probably want pictures. I have some.

A gentleman in that thread says he can't run it in hot weather due to temps. Another runs it out of a window to get the ambient down.
According to a program called open hardware monitor (the only program that I found that works), the temperatures are 32°C, under load and 21°C while doing nothing. I don't trust this, but in the case the air feels actually pretty cool (in front of the CPU coolers), while it really does get work done. This is very amazing. The sound is extremely low as well.

 looks nice!
Yeah, I agree.

Excellent work. You seem to be built out well, and as long as the temps are staying down there's all that matters. I'm surprised at the temps myself but that could just be my my ambients. Corsair 212 push-pull configuration nets me 28c idle and 44c full extended load on an x6 1090T (i have two of them). The ambient is about 78F. I typically let it get up to 85/86F. I guess that's why for me such a setup wouldn't work, because I don't want to increase my air conditioning just for the server to number crunch, I still want it to work even in high ambients.
