Dual core temperature readings

i use both Everest and Speedfan to monitor my CPU temperatures. i just got an X2 3800+, and speedfan reports 1 temperature for the CPU, but everest gives the temperatures for the CPU, CPU 1 Core 1, and CPU 1 Core 2. the CPU temperature in speedfan is the same as everest's "CPU" temperature reading.

my "CPU" temperature is totally fine while running dual prime, but my core 1 and core 2 temperatures go MUCH higher.

which temperatures should i go by?
