DUal core temp, Good or bad?

I've got an E8500 Oced to 3.8. Running the prime95 stress test, the temps at full load get to 70-75. Is that bad or good for a Dual core at that clock speed? Is it bad enough to underclock it more? Or is it good enough to Overclock it more? (even though I probably wouldn't do so anyways) Thanks in advance for any comments and suggestions.

Are you using the stock HSF? 70-75C seems rather... hot....

I'm not sure what you meant by that's "bad or good for a Dual core at that clock speed," but 3.8GHz is just about as fast as dual cores go. 70-75C on full load, on the other hand, would be rather bad.

Thats getting pretty hot.
Get a aftermarket cooler if you dont have one.
If you do try reseating it and replacing the tim.

Intel recommended specs are

idle 40's C

load 60's is optimal

If your in the 60's Celcious then your CPU will live a long long life no worries.

If your hitting 75c , it is still ok but your pushing it. I think you should stick with your current OC, cuz raising the voltage more will get you to 80c

Stick with it but dont let it get to 80c and above, then your in the trouble, CPU will soon shutdown on its own to prevent damage,, gl
