Dual core S754???

An article on a S754 motherboard that has SLI capability (which is wild enough). They mention that it is a great budget board for using the 90nm Sempron chips, and then also mention that it can run A64 3800+ dual core chips. What???? That's just a bad typo type of thing I assume...

I just checked out the Albatron website. Thier specs clearly show that it is socket 754 only. Does support NF4 Dual PCI-E SLI graphics though.

IIRC, Dual core Turions will be on a different socket.

AMD is going to have come out with a dual-core Turion in order to somewhat compete against the Yohan. It'll do well performance-wise, but the Yohan will own it in power consumption department.

That is not quite accurate. The dualcore Turions will have 35W max power usage so they won't be owned by Yonah. Yonah will win in batterylife but not by a landslide and this is with a 65nm part versus a 90nm part. Should be interesting next February through April. MMMM R580/NVIDIA Yonah/Turion. MMMM codewords. MMMMM errrr what?
