dual core processors..?

well i only have HEARD of them i haven't actually seen them..
for those of you who have dual core processors can you please post some pics?:camera:

also when using dual core processor.. does the speed stack on? meaning like a 2ghz + 2ghz count as 4ghz when running games or whatevr? im lost.. 😕

as far as i know dual core's arent even out

With regard to the disproportionate power consumption of modern processors and the prospect of getting dual-core processors next year, Cool & Quiet looks like a must-have feature today.

1) Anyone with an AMD or Intel dual core CPU is either an employee of AMD\Intel or under NDA, so no pics.
2) No, it's just like a dual CPU setup but instead of saying you have dual P4 3.0 you'd have a dual core P4 3.0 (hypothetically because you can't have dual P4s).

relax .... they have not been released yet .... they will be available in mid 2005 .... and no 2*2 isnot 4 Ghz.... be patient grasshopper

That;s because people assume the speed stacks. It doesn't.

Well Athlon MP's are the multi processor version of the Athlon XP.. looks to me like that has two Athlon MP 2400+'s

I have dual 2800s, but they don't run as one 5600+ processor. The only thing that gives you true perfomance like that is something like distributed computing. Really parallel tasks like that give you the benefit. For most tasks though, it's just like an XP2800.
