Dual-core netbooks?

My gf out of nowhere wants a netbook. ive owned a netbook once and seen that there not that special. even easy computing for me showed the limitations. i told her to wait on a dual-core netbook, just for a little extra power. or it might drive the price of the current netbook's down to a pricepoint to where the usage reflects the price.

plus alot more tech savy people might consider them just to have for odd jobs 🙂, beats lugging a laptop around.

i've seen Raon Evernote. but that was like 750$ where i saw it, on some random website

i have tried to push a full-sized notebook. but something about a small computer is nice

basically questions is. are dual-core netbook's on the horizon.

alright thnx. google give's me some item's but nothing worht reading. most pointed me in the direction of the "raon" that i mentioned

just read the article. doesnt mention any dual-core?

Then why did they design the processor?

Also, Microsoft has strict limits on what kind of device can get an XP netbook license, this includes dual cores I believe.

i think the dual core atoms are only in the 300 series line.
all atoms have hyperthreading though, so maybe thats what you were thinking about

the dv2z also has a 12in screen and weighs almost 4lbs. when does something stop being a netbook and becomes a laptop instead?

When it crosses the $500 threshhold and includes an optical drive. That is convergence. 🙂
