So I purchased an athlon x2 4200+ (socket 939) for my VNF4 Ultra motherboard as a holdover for a few months till barcelona becomes mainstream (so I can get dual core functionality in supreme commander and bioshock). It will be a cheap upgrade from my single core 3800+ (which I will sell after the 4200+ gets popped in).
Now it is to my understanding that there are a slew of patches/hotfixes/applications that need to be installed so that the x2 cpu is utilized to it's fullest potential. Can someone fill me in on what all needs to be done if windows update hasn't already done it?
