Dual Core gaming rig

Whats the best gaming rig with a dual core processor (at the least) that I can build for 950 dollars? Is there a pre-built one or do I have to build it myself? Thanks very much.

dont think you will find much pre-built at that price worth a darn. Do you have a monitor, keyboard, etc?

A core2duo e4300 and biostar tforce 965 mobo will go for about 250-275. add 150-200 for 2gb ram and you dont have much left for video. A good card for the money is a x1960pro with 256mb - those are 150-175 for pci-e. These rough prices can give you a start

Yeah, start Core2Duo and work from there. Some idea of what the computer will be used for would be a help. For example, you say gaming but do you need something real high end? Also, any overclocking?

Thanks, yeah I realize I won't get much for that money. I might just get a ps3 but there are more pc games coming out that I want to play.

Edit: All gaming. No overclocking I don't think. Unless it was a lower end chip that I had to OC to get the real power out of like an Opteron 170.

2) What ram is best for an allendale 4300 + Gigabyte DS3 overclocking setup? Thanks.
