Dual Core cpu's use Core 2 Duo sockets?

I am looking in Newegg.com and there is no option to refine a motherboard search for Dual Core. I don't want to jump to any assumptions. I am looking to match some motherboards to a Dual Core e5200. (or Core 2 Duo 5200 to some other vendors).

Any socket 775 motherboard on Newegg should be able to handle Core 2 Duo chips. If not, that's pretty insane considering they've been out for almost three years,

Dual core = generic term for any processor with two cores on-die or in the same package.

Core 2 Duo = Intel's TM name for a series of dual core processors, released originally with the "Conroe" design. Commonly available on Socket 775.
