dual core board ideas

After my last rig (barton 2500+) got hit by lightning, I'm looking for something new.

I'm going to go for either amd or intel dual core. I'm looking for recommendations on motherboards in the mid ($100-$150) range. I want to get a video card later, so they should have onboard video. I have an old AGP card, which could be an alternative, but I think current onboard video would actually be better. I also want to be able overclock as much as possible.

Memory recommendations also welcome.

I need to be able to use up to 4 PATA, though could do 2 if a board is really really good.

My total budget for mboard, ram (hopefully 2x1gb) and CPU is around $400. I can wait another month to buy.

Go for it 🙂

Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G Socket AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 ATX AMD Motherboard - 90$ on newegg, int. nVidia 6100, up to 4 pata devices, AM2

ASUS A8N-VM CSM Socket 939 NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - 77$ on newegg, int. nVidia 6150, up to 4 pata devices, soc 939

ASUS P5RD2-VM Socket T (LGA 775) ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - 71$ on newegg, int. ATI XPRESS 200, up to 4 pata devices, soc 775

they are cheaper than the price you said you wanted but int. graphics boards are mainly for people who are on a very tight budget..... all of the boards have PCIe X16 slots and should clock OK(ASUS and gygabyte make good clocking MBs)
