When I first got Vegas I still had my a64 3000+ and it ran very well with my 8800GTS.
Recently I swapped the 3000+ for a opty 165, and now I get completely unplayable frame rate. It makes no sense.
I have tried both AMD and Microsoft dual core fixes and drivers, for some reason cause random freezing in windows and in games, and they dont fix the problem in Vegas.
The opty is not overclocked everything is at stock, and I have tried a bunch of other games and they all work perfecty: test drive unlimited hl2, oblivion, dawn of war, GRAW etc.
Is there any way to fix this? I have tried alt=tabbing and setting the games's affinity to CPU 01 but it doesn't work. Is anyone else having this prob with their opty?
