dual channel

the only thing i need to run dual channel is two sticks of same speed/same amount of ram regardless of the brand right?

I am not sure. It has always been my impression that matched pairs were needed for proper DC. Maybe if the specs were exactly the same or really close but different brands? I already have a pair of Corsair PC2700 modules that will DC on my new MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR once I put it all together (tomorrow, I hope )
