Dual channel with 4 slots on MSI Neo4 Platinum

I read from the booklet that the dual channel on the MSI neo4 platinum will only run at 333mhz when using the 4 slots.

Anyone knows if there's a way to run them dual channel at 400mhz.

Here's the setup:

MSI Neo4 Platinum
FX-53
2gig (4x512mb) Mushkin special 2-2-2 PC3200

thanks in advance,
Marc.

That is correct unless you use a Venice core or later AMD processor. For instance, my NewCastle AMD 3500+ will only run my Corsair Xperts at 333 because I cannot put them next to each other, thus I get a similar situation as you. If your RAM is setup like this you need a newer core with an improved memory controller:

R _ R _
R R R R where R equals a stick of RAM.

You could sell the FX-53 and get a 3800+ Venice or something. Welcome to the ridiculous world of MSi. Good luck.

what's the major difference between 1T and 2T.

will 2x512mb dual channel @T1 run faster and give me better performances overall than 4x512mb @T2?

Yeah I'd like to know that also. I would like to get another set of OCZ Platinums DDR400 rev2 for my system but I didn't know if it would run great. Currently running same memory at 1T,2,2,2,5.
