Dual Channel ram?

How much does dual channeling your ram affect in gaming performance and rendering performance.
And is it still dual channeling if you have different gigs of ram? Ex. If I have a 4 gig ram on one slot and 2 gig on the other, will it still take advantage of the motherboard's dual channeling.

Mixing ram is not the perfect duo.and what motherboard do you have.

Unless you are benchmarking, you will notice zero difference between dual and single channel ram.
