Dual Channel Ram question

This is probably a dumb question but ... I just bought a 1gb geil dual channel set and I already have 512mb stick in my pc. Can I use all of three at the same time for a totoal of 1536mb or does the dual channel memory mean that I cant use the other stick???

Go right ahead; the dual channels will still be used. There will just be two sticks of RAM on one channel, and one stick on the other.
You can even run different sizes - my main system has two 512MB sticks, and a 256MB stick, running in dual channel mode.

I have two pny 512 ddr400 pc3200 sticks I bought to run in dual mode. I have a generic 512 ddr333 pc2700 and 256 ddr333 pc2700. If I run all four of these at the same time will I have problems or according to your post Jeff7 it seems that I would not have a problem at all or am I misundertanding?
