Would I be correct in assuming that 4x512 pc3200 will run dual channel? Or is dual channel 2 pieces only?
 
It will run dual channel, but only at 2T command rate (with an AMD processor)
Dual channel just means you must have an even number of sticks, so 2 or 4 sticks.
