Dual Channel Question

I'm currently running an A64 3200+ with 1 Gb (2x512 sticks) of DDR400 RAM. I've got two slots left on my motherboard, so my question is this: Since I've got 512 Mb running on each channel, should I just get 2 more 512 sticks, or will I still get dual channel performance if I get 2 1GB sticks for 3 gigs total?

I think the general consensus is to use matching sticks (Brand, Speed, Timings, and Size).

I, however, run 1.5 gigs of completely different RAM in 4 channels and still get dual channel benefits.

2x512MB + 2x1GB sticks will work fine. Obviously its better for stability if the 512's are the same and the 1GB's are the same, but having one bank with 512's and another with 1GB's shouldn't cause any issues.
