Performance wise, do you folks think I am better off with my current setup, 2 x 512MB sticks running dual channel, or slapping another 2 x 512 sticks and doubling my existing RAM?

Lookng for the biggest bang for my buck.

Thanks!

Will your mb support 4 sticks at the speed you want to run? Some of them have a speed limit on 4 sticks.

Having 4 pairs will not prevent you from running dual channel. But it could prevent you from running at lower latencies or timing. If you can sell the old rams and get 1gb sticks.
