So I assembled my new system today, everything went extremely smooth, except when I enabled the Dual Channel RAM. I booted the system first with just one stick in, just to make sure everything went smooth during the windows installation, and then after the install went with no hiccups I added the second stick in the Gigabyte Motherboard in the Dual Channel position. I rebooted to windows with no problems, then started installing drivers from my motherboard CD and installing audio codecs and so forth, when the system just crashed. I couldn't get it to boot back up with the RAM in the Dual Channel position. I'm running a Athlon 64 FX-53 (Socket 939), nice 400W Antec PS, 1 GB OCZ Platinum, GeForce 6800GT, and this Gigabyte Motherboard.

Any clues as to what might enable me to run this RAM in Dual Channel would be appreciated. Thanks!

ah, wat gigabyte 939 board???

i have the GB K8NSNXP-939 MB, i can run PQI (Generic) RAM in Dual Channel easily ,but have alot of trouble overclocking....

Try loosening the RAM timings...if you don't know how to do that, get into the BIOS, and press the CRTL + F1 keys and it will add "Advanced Chipset Features" as a menu item, which has more detailed preferences...
