Dual Channel Memory

If I build a computer using the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe mainboard, do I have to do anything special to make sure that dual channel memory works other than getting 2 identical memory modules? Kingston's memory page for this motherboard says, "All modules must be identical for Dual Channel with Dynamic Mode.
Kingston offers "K2" kit part numbers for Dual Channel mode." Do I have to get K2 part numbered memory? I noticed that none of the K2 memory is ECC, but I need ECC memory.

you have to put each stick of ram into matching coloured slots ie black & black or blue & blue!
