Dual Channel Memory in "Linear Mode"?

I have two identical 512mb sticks running in what I believe to be Dual Channel mode. When I boot up my pc I get a message that states:

Dual Channel Memory running in Linear Mode. Is that correct?

I thought it would've said dual channel memory running dual channel mode. What motherboard and what slots are the memory in?

thats what mine says too...its value ram not bought in a dual channel pack

so is it dual channel?

My Asus P4C800-E says that also, and they are dual channel packed.
