Dual-Channel Memory Configuration.

I have an Asus A8n-SLI mobo with 2 sticks of 512mb RAM. Now, I want to buy another 2 sticks of 1GB memory. Will this combination work in dual-channel? The RAM chips will be Infineon and Hynix.

Oh one more; if I were to buy just 1 stick of 1GB RAM. so making a total of 3 RAMs with my mobo; will dual-channel still work or only single channel work?
