Dual Channel DDR (SiS 655) for $112.

did a search and didn't see anything. it's the gigabyte with SiS 655 chipset. this is the NON-ultra board, so no, firewire, raid, 6 channel sound, or lan. but it is cheap, and for those who kept waiting for granite bay, it's a good deal.

Jayczar, have you gotten your board yet? If so, how is it? I just ordered it from PCHertz. I normally get parts through NewEgg but they are out of stock. PCHertz doesn't have the greatest Resellerratings but they are local for me so I can always go to the store if there's a problem. I'll be using it in my office workstation, where I wouldn't need all the frills of an Ultra board. So I'm interested in your opinions on this board.

I'm waiting for either an Epox or Asus board. Also, Intel 865 (Springdale) boards should be out late next month and those appear to outperform granite bay. Good deal otherwise though, but I've got a 2ghz P4 at 2.66ghz so I'm not in much of a rush to upgrade.

Yes and no. For dual channel DDR to work you need to have two separate sticks of DDR memory. So instead of buying 1 512 stick, you would buy 2 256 sticks of ram. It only cost a bit more.

I have a the gigabyte granite bay board and i'm running 4 256 meg sticks 😀
