im planing to setup an internet cafe based on 2.8C hyperthreading & was planning to pair it with a single channel asus motherboard to save cost. will i get noticable performance when using dual-channel based on i865pe? or is ithe that the best chipset for dual-chan & hyperthreading is only i875 with PAT enable.. pls advicce on how i could lower cost on my system without degrading much on performance...

thanks

I use AMD systems now, but have heard that the P4c cpu really, really benefit from dual channel. Since I don't use Intel now, and am not qualified to answer, consider this a bump for better advice

If it's a internet cafe why even go with system specs that high? Is AMD sktA hard to get in the Philippines, or overpriced there?

Honestly, Celerons, Durons, older Athlons, or Pentium IIIs would all be more than enough for web browsing.

In that case, I'd look at Athlon 64s, they're faster in games. If your heart is dead set on Intel though, then yes by all means go dual channel.
