dual celeron, possible?

hello everybody, I have an asus p3v4x with tualatin celeron 1.1 o/c 133fsb = 1.46ghz

I want to upgrade to dual cpu just for fun because I found a cheap Tyan Tiger 230T (S2507T) using the VIA 694T chipset
http://www.tyan.com/products/html/tiger230t.html

there's only 2 things stopping me from buying this board.. will it support my celeron in dual processor mode?
and does this tyan board support voltage adjustments so I can raise the voltage up a bit or else the 1.1 celeron won't reach 1.46 p3 speeds...

I hope somebody has experience with this board... thanks

The last Celerons that could be used in dualies were the PPGA ones, so unfortunately not. Your single 1.1 is at least as fast as two of the PPGA 533's, though, particularly with your OC factored in 😀

When I went looking to build a Dual CPU system I looked at the old Xeon's, Socket 370 P3's, and Athlon MP systems.

Best bang for your buck is the Dual athlon sysetm. The Dual P3 system cost to much, the old Xeon is not that fast and cost about the same as a Dual athlon system.

So unless you have 2 P3's that are Core matching, then its not worth it.
